What is Communication for Life?
Communication for Life is based on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) developed in the 60s by Dr Marshall Rosenberg.
NVC supports us to stay engaged in Life – open, curious. Living its principles inspires compassion, trust, respect, courage, acceptance, connection and strength.
Introducing Our Team...
Director • Founder • Lead Facilitator/Coach/Mediator • Trust Chairperson
Jocelyn is a CNVC Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer. She has been a student and teacher of NVC since 2005 in New Zealand and overseas. She has a lifelong drive for understanding human nature and helping people feel their own power in taking responsibility for self-knowledge. She is deeply grateful to NVC for giving her such a compassionate, insightful lens through which to view herself and others.

Workshop Facilitator • Ongoing Practice Support • Trust Treasurer
Jessica is passionate about the potential of NVC for the well-being of families and children. Deeply aware of the influence parents have on their children, she is in awe of the responsibility that being mother to her two young girls brings. She particularly loves holding space for women, believing that when women gather in circle, “magic happens”. She is a qualified massage therapist and yoga teacher, and facilitates FlowFest, a free-flow dance session. Read more...

Tace is inspired by the application of nonviolence in thought, word, and action as a means to an even more awesome world for everyone. She has qualifications in Visual Arts and Education, but considers her greatest achievement to be mastering parallel parking. Tace lives, and travels long distances by bicycle, with her partner and their two home-educated children, her greatest teachers.

Aaron has had NVC in his life since he was 11 years old. It has had a profound effect on the way he sees the world and interacts with it. He is particularly enthused about bringing NVC to youth. He’s an eclectic character: slightly obsessed with cars and just as comfortable engaging in long conversations about the meaning of life as he is tramping through alpine forest. He is currently creating a funky place for travellers to hang out where he lives in the beautiful Honeymoon Valley.
